Berea lost to Powell County back in May of 2023, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. Berea was the clear victor by a 13-2 margin over Powell County. The result was nothing new for Berea, who have now won five contests by 11 runs or more so far this season.

Berea's win bumped their record up to 7-8. As for Powell County, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-8.

Looking ahead, Berea will face off against Fairview at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Powell County, they will take on Owsley County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Pirates are facing the Owls / Lady Owls at the right time seeing as the Owls / Lady Owls are stuck on a 13-game losing streak.
