The Bishop Amat Lancers are taking a road trip to square off against the Sierra Canyon Trailblazers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Bishop Amat is no doubt hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
Last Friday, Bishop Amat came up short against Loyola and fell 24-17. That's two games in a row now that the Lancers have lost by exactly seven points.

They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Notre Dame (SO) 50-17 on the road. Given the Trailblazers' advantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked tenth, while the Knights are ranked 55th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Sierra Canyon's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Wyatt Becker, who rushed for 77 yards, and also threw for 127 yards and a touchdown. Those 77 rushing yards gave Becker a new career-high. Havon Finney Jr. also deserves a mention for his punt return touchdown.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Sierra Canyon was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 223 rushing yards. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 70.3 rushing yards per game earlier this season, but in their last three matchups they've averaged 224.
