West Craven has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matchups by 28 points or more this season.
West Craven's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Shalawn Yates led the charge by scoring 24 points along with eight steals and seven rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Yates has scored all season. Torvonyah Heggie was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 25 points and 16 rebounds.
The win makes it two in a row for West Craven and bumps their season record up to 13-1. As for Ayden - Grifton, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-17.
West Craven will be playing in front of their home fans against Washington at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Washington will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 395th, while West Craven is ranked 56th). As for Ayden - Grifton, they will head out on the road to square off against Farmville Central at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
