Denair had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They blew past the Waterford Wildcats 16-3. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 11-1 back in March.
Makayla Dayton spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on four hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Braelyn Marroquin was incredible, going 4-for-5 with five stolen bases, four runs, and five RBI. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in February.
