This season hasn't been kind to the Upstate HomeSchool Bearcats, who are still winless after their fourth contest. They fell to Southside Christian 44-38. Upstate HomeSchool lost against Southside Christian in their previous head to head on Thursday, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 41-33 score last time.
Luke Boush was his usual excellent self, scoring 28 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 steals for Southside Christian. The contest was Boush's fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Evans, who scored 5 points along with 8 rebounds and 3 blocks.
Upstate HomeSchool's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Southside Christian, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-1.
Upstate HomeSchool will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Hampton Park Christian at 7:00 p.m. on February 2, 2024. Southside Christian's road trip will continue as they head out to face Hilltop Christian at 6:15 p.m. on December 4th. Hopefully Hilltop Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up five on Friday.
