Trenton has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on The Tom Bean Tomcats at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Friday, Trenton lost to Tioga at home by a decisive 37-19 margin.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Jayden Candela, who rushed for 89 yards and a touchdown. Another player making a difference was Colton Gray, who rushed for 85 yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Tom Bean was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 27-22 to Nocona.
Despite the loss, Tom Bean got a solid performance out of Bobby Rogers, who threw for 265 yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground.
Trenton has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-5 record this season. As for Tom Bean, their loss dropped their record down to 5-4.
Everything went Trenton's way against Tom Bean when the teams last played back in November of 2022 as Trenton made off with a 34-8 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Trenton since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
