The Chariho Chargers will head out on the road to take on the Mount St. Charles Academy Mounties at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Chariho scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They blew past East Greenwich 71-39 at home. The win made it back-to-back wins for Chariho.
Meanwhile, Mount St. Charles Academy entered their tilt with Woonsocket with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Mount St. Charles Academy blew past Woonsocket, posting a 67-24 win on the road.
Chariho's win was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 16-4. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.0 points per game. As for Mount St. Charles Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 17-4 record this season.
Chariho was able to grind out a solid win over Mount St. Charles Academy when the teams last played back in January, winning 56-43. The rematch might be a little tougher for Chariho since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
