Baseball Recap: Knox Victorious

Knox hadn't done well against North Judson-San Pierre recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Redskins came out on top against the Bluejays by a score of 14-9. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 11-1 on Monday.

Knox got a massive performance out of Raymond Boys, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three runs and one RBI. The Redskins are undefeated when Boys posts two or more runs, but 1-3 otherwise. Connor Leonhardt was another key player, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with two RBI and one run.

Knox was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive matchups.

Knox now has a winning record of 4-3. As for North Judson-San Pierre, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Knox will challenge Washington Township at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for North Judson-San Pierre, they will square off against Argos at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Bluejays are facing the Dragons at the right time seeing as the Dragons are stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
