The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Silver Stage in their matchups with Sierra Lutheran: they've now lost three in a row.
Leading Sierra Lutheran to victory were Chloe Friend and Samantha Steyn. Friend dropped a double-double on 14 points and 12 rebounds, while Steyn scored 18 points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Friend has scored all season.
Silver Stage's loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Sierra Lutheran, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Silver Stage will challenge Yerington at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Sierra Lutheran's road trip will continue as they head out to face Oasis Academy at 1:30 p.m. on January 13th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Nevada (Oasis Academy is ranked 84th, while Sierra Lutheran is ranked 68th).
