On Saturday, LEAD Academy earned a 60-50 victory over Riverdale.
Anthony Petway was his usual excellent self, scoring 27 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. That's the first time this season that he pulled down eight or more rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Darnell Seay, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds.
LEAD Academy's win bumped their record up to 12-9. As for Riverdale, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-14.
LEAD Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against Pearl-Cohn at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Riverdale, they will head out on the road to take on Oakland at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
