The Dimmitt Bobcats will be taking part in a tournament against the Ropes Eagles at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday. Dimmitt will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.
On Saturday, Dimmitt got the win against San Jacinto Christian Academy by a conclusive 12-2. The Bobcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by ten runs or more this season.

Uriel Prieto was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three stolen bases, and three runs. Those three runs gave him a new career-high.
They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Dimmitt lost a few balls and finished the game with four home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Ropes ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out Idalou 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Eagles have posted since April 15, 2025.
The team relied heavily on Maddux Sierra, who went 3-for-5 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Stetson Haden also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
Dimmitt's record now sits at 8-1. As for Ropes, their record is now 6-3.
Thursday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Dimmitt has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .500. However, it's not like Ropes struggles in that department as they've averaged .474. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Dimmitt might still be hurting after the 10-1 loss they got from Ropes when the teams last played back in March of 2025. Can the Bobcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
