The West Milford Highlanders scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. Everything went their way against Passaic Valley as West Milford made off with a 69-45 win. The win was just what West Milford needed coming off of a 64-37 loss in their prior match.
Avery Vacca was her usual excellent self, scoring 21 points along with six assists. Those 21 points set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Sarah Benowitz, who scored 12 points.
The victory got West Milford back to even at 4-4. As for Passaic Valley, their loss was their third straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 5-3.
West Milford will take on Northern Highlands at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Northern Highlands will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak. As for Passaic Valley, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Pompton Lakes at 11:30 a.m.
