After a string of seven wins dating back to last season, Eagan's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell 63-53 to the Anoka Tornadoes. The loss put an end to the Wildcats' undefeated start to the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Eagan fell to 6-1. As for Anoka, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 7-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Eagan will venture away from home to challenge Apple Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Apple Valley has won five straight at home, while Eagan won three straight on the road), something that'll have to change. As for Anoka, they will venture away from home to square off against Champlin Park at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Anoka knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight matchups -- so hopefully Champlin Park likes a good challenge.
