There's no place like home for the Kennedy Crusaders, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Saturday. In a tight game that could have gone either way, they made off with a 38-37 win over King. For Kennedy, this counts as revenge for the 57-53 defeat King walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2022.
Among those leading the charge was Michael Gallas, who scored 18 points along with nine rebounds. That's the first time this season that he scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Vincent Carrero, who scored six points.
Kennedy's win bumped their record up to 6-11. As for King, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-5 record this season.
Kennedy will be playing at home against Solorio at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Solorio comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 17 points in their last three games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. As for King, they will head out on the road to face off against Catalyst-Maria at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Catalyst-Maria has insisted on making their lastthree contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 1-2 during that stretch of close contests.
