Dutch Fork is 8-2 against the Eagles since January of 2020, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Dutch Fork Silver Foxes will stay at home for another game and welcome the Chapin Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on February 2nd. Dutch Fork will be strutting in after a victory while the Eagles will be coming in after a loss.
Last Tuesday, Dutch Fork didn't have too much breathing room in their match against the Timberwolves, but they still walked away with a 40-34 victory. The victory was just what Dutch Fork needed coming off of a 76-34 defeat in their prior game.
Jayden Walker was the offensive standout of the match as he scored ten points along with six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Caleb Garner, who scored eight points.
Meanwhile, Chapin's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight defeat. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 72-51 walloping at the hands of Lexington. Chapin has struggled against the Wildcats recently, as their game on Friday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Chapin's defeat came about despite a quality game from Cayman Collins, who scored 21 points. Jaydon Bradford was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with six rebounds.
Dutch Fork's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-13. As for Chapin, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost eight of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season.
Friday's match is shaping up to be a masterclass in shooting: Dutch Fork have been dynamite from deep this season, having made 38.9% of their threes per game. However, it's not like Chapin struggles in that department as they've made 39.7% of their threes this season. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
