The Lakeview Wildcats will square off against the Morley Stanwood Mohawks at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Morley Stanwood took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Lakeview, who comes in off a win.
Lakeview took a 12-run defeat the last time they faced off against Kent City, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Wildcats won by a run and slipped past the Eagles 3-2.

Lakeview let Cameron Perez and Braden Salladay run wild. Perez got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run, while Salladay went 3-for-4 with one stolen base and one run. Those three hits gave Salladay a new career-high.
Meanwhile, Morley Stanwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took an 8-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of Tri County Area.
Gage Freiberg spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered four earned (and four unearned) runs on seven hits.
On the hitting side, Morley Stanwood saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cody Mollette, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double. That double was Mollette's first of the season. Devin Garbow was another, going 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Lakeview's victory bumped their record up to 7-9. As for Morley Stanwood, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-8.
