After a string of six wins, The Acalanes Dons''s good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They were just a hair shy of victory and fell 25-24 to Campolindo. Acalanes has struggled against Campolindo recently, as their matchup on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Sully Bailey threw for 152 yards and two touchdowns. Paul Kuhner was his top target, picking up 55 receiving yards and a touchdown. On the ground, Jack Miller rushed for 60 yards.
Campolindo found their leader in underclassman Micah Parker, who rushed for 102 yards and a touchdown.
Acalanes' defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Campolindo, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-2-1 record this season.
Acalanes will be playing in front of their home fans against Mt. Diablo at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Mt. Diablo will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 679th, while Acalanes is ranked 128th). As for Campolindo, they will head out on the road to face off against San Ramon Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. San Ramon Valley will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive.
