Chapman will look to defend their home turf on Friday against Hesston. Chapman have the odds in their favor, so they'll need to guard against complacency.
After a string of five wins, Chapman's good fortune finally ran out last Friday. They came up short against Smoky Valley, falling 22-30. Chapman's defeat came about despite a quality game from senior Brandon Colston, who caught passes for 114 yards and 3 touchdowns. In fact, with nine tackles Colston was a force on both sides of the ball.
Meanwhile, Hesston made easy work of Rock Creek and carried off a 54-30 victory. The success made it back-to-back wins for Hesston.
Hesston's win lifted them to 4-2 while Chapman's loss dropped them down to 5-1. We'll find out if Hesston can add another positive mark to their record or if Chapman can shake off the loss and take the spring out of Hesston's step.
