The Indian Creek Timberwolves will head out on the road to face off against the Marquette Crusaders at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Indian Creek will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.
Having struggled with five losses in a row, Indian Creek turned things around against Rochelle on Thursday. They skirted past the Hubs 8-7.
Madison Boehne was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. That's the most runs she has posted since back in May of 2025. Jocelyn Blobaum was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Indian Creek kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Marquette came out on top against Dwight on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run fifth inning. The Crusaders narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Trojans 8-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Crusaders have posted against the Trojans since May 14, 2022.
Kinley Rick made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over seven innings while giving up five earned (and one unearned) runs off eight hits. Rick was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kelsey Cuchra, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Emily Ryan-Adair also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.
The victory was their first on the road, bumping their record up to 3-10-1. As for Marquette, their record is now 11-3.
