Brandon is 8-2 against Oak Grove since January of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Brandon Bulldogs will be playing at home against the Oak Grove Warriors at 7:30 p.m. The timing is sure in Brandon's favor as the team sits on three straight wins at home while Oak Grove has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.
Last Tuesday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Brandon beat Northwest Rankin 47-41.
Brandon's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Braylon Barnes, who scored 17 points along with two steals. Barnes hasn't dropped below 15points for five straight games. Another player making a difference was Nate White, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and two blocks.
Oak Grove posted their closest win yet this season on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged Petal out 64-61. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Brandon's win bumped their record up to 14-11. As for Oak Grove, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-13.
Brandon strolled past Oak Grove when the teams last played on January 9th by a score of 60-43. Does Brandon have another victory up their sleeve, or will Oak Grove turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
