The biggest upset of the week belonged to South San Francisco, who took down 246th ranked Sequoia, 36-28.
The Warriors moved up to 489 from 589 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Peninsula - Ocean. A 36-28 win over the Cherokee helped South San Francisco improve its standing.
Menlo's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Jack Heneghan threw for 295 and four touchdowns and Connor Paterson had 91 yards receiving. On the ground Heneghan chipped in 104 yards. Connor Stastny helped Menlo's passing attack out by catching seven balls for 86 yards.
Chris Atkeson made the biggest impact on defense this week as the Knights beat Woodside. The senior recorded one fumble.
Menlo's Heneghan and Stastny have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Heneghan has thrown for 813 yards this season, while Stastny has 19 catches for 383 yards. Sequoia's Dylan Anderson leads the league in rushing yards with 384.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Frank Moro's team takes on Mark Newton's team. The Warriors are currently in fourth, while the Knights are in first.
South San Francisco made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 6,151 from 7,838. The improvement was the result of 36-28 victory over Rob Poulos' team last week.
