Softball Recap: Gleason Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

The matchup between Gleason and South Fulton on Monday hardly resembled the 2-1 effort from their previous meeting. The Bulldogs came out on top in a nail-biter against the Red Devils, sneaking past 12-10. Winning may never get old, but the Bulldogs sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

The team relied heavily on Sophie Beasley, who got on base in three of her five plate appearances with three RBI and one run. Ava Bennett was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.

Gleason now has a winning record of 9-8. As for South Fulton, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-12-1 record this season.

Gleason will be playing in front of their home fans against Lake County at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Falcons will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last. As for South Fulton, they will head out on the road to square off against Greenfield at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Red Devils are facing the Yellowjackets at the right time seeing as the Yellowjackets are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
