The Davenport Wolves will square off against the Wimberley Texans at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Davenport is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.2 runs per game this season.

In Tuesday's Canine Competition, Davenport prevailed. Everything went their way against Bandera on Tuesday as they made off with a 17-2 win. The victory continues a trend for the Wolves in their matchups with the BULLDOGS: they've now won nine in a row.

Victoria Villarreal looked comfortable as she tossed three innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, KINLEY Keller was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaylie Ramos, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Davenport was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .391. They are a perfect 12-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Meanwhile, Wimberley lost 19-9 to Navarro on Tuesday. That's two games in a row now that the Texans have lost by exactly ten runs.

Bailey Wright made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored three runs while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Emorie G, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4.

This is the second loss in a row for Wimberley and nudges their season record down to 10-16. As for Davenport, their win bumped their record up to 18-7-1.

Davenport was able to grind out a solid victory over Wimberley in their previous matchup two weeks ago, winning 7-2. Will the Wolves repeat their success, or do the Texans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
