Paoli is preparing for their first conference matchup of the season on Thursday. They will welcome the West Washington Senators at 5:00 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.
Paoli had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Shoals on Tuesday. The Rams blew past the Jug Rox 11-1. The victory continues a trend for the Rams in their matchups with the Jug Rox: they've now won six in a row.
Raleigh Klunk was incredible, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2025. Kirkland Hughes was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.
West Washington came out on top against Eastern on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive seven-run seventh inning. The Senators put the hurt on the Musketeers with a sharp 9-3 win.
Nash Ables made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run any time he's pitched this season. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 4-for-5 with four stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Iziah Dennis, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Cole Timberlake, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one RBI.
Paoli now has a winning record of 2-1. As for West Washington, their victory bumped their record up to 3-0.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Thursday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Paoli has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 9 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like West Washington struggles in that department as they've been averaging 6.7 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Paoli got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in May of 2025 against West Washington by a conclusive 12-2 score. Do the Rams have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Senators turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
