Cardozo has been on the road for four straight, but on Saturday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Campus Magnet Bulldogs at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Cardozo knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past 13 contests -- so hopefully Campus Magnet likes a good challenge.
Even though Architecture, Engineering and Construction scored an imposing 67 points on Thursday, Cardozo still came out on top. Cardozo took their game against Architecture, Engineering and Construction 78-67. That's two games straight that Cardozo has won by exactly 11 points.
Cardozo got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Brandon Barrett out in front who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 16 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Barrett has scored all season. Peter Douvres was another key contributor, scoring 21 points along with six rebounds and five assists.
Meanwhile, Campus Magnet scored the most points they've had all season to find success last Thursday. They strolled past Francis Lewis with points to spare, taking the game 76-59. The win was a breath of fresh air for Campus Magnet as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
Cardozo's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-0. As for Campus Magnet, their win bumped their record up to 2-6.
Cardozo strolled past Campus Magnet in their previous meeting back in February of 2023 by a score of 64-46. Will Cardozo repeat their success, or does Campus Magnet have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
