The Caldwell Bluejays can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Saturday. They walked away with a 53-40 victory over Argonia. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Caldwell also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2023.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Caldwell to victory, but perhaps none more so than Mak Blosser, who scored 21 points. Blosser continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Miles Newell, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds.
Despite the loss, Argonia still got an impressive performance from Dalton Morrison, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds and three blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Filippo Leonardi, who scored seven points along with seven rebounds and six assists.
Caldwell's win bumped their record up to 4-7. As for Argonia, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season.
Caldwell will be playing at home against Cedar Vale/Dexter at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. That game will pit two of the most dominant against one another: Nils Behnke and Jackson Risley. Argonia on the road again on Tuesday and play against Udall at 7:30 p.m. on January 23rd. Udall is out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home.
