The Tooele Buffaloes will head out on the road to face off against the Hillcrest Huskies at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Tooele and 33 for Hillcrest dating back to last season.
On Tuesday, Tooele was the victim of a tough 54-30 defeat at the hands of Murray.
Despite the defeat, Tooele had strong showings from Josie Kennedy, who scored seven points along with ten rebounds, and Kennedy Searle, who scored five points along with nine rebounds and four steals.
Meanwhile, Hillcrest suffered a tough 43-17 defeat at the hands of Cottonwood on Tuesday. Hillcrest has not had much luck with Cottonwood recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Tooele has not been sharp recently as the team's lost seven of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season. As for Hillcrest, their defeat was their 17th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-20.
Everything came up roses for Tooele against Hillcrest when the teams last played back in January as the team secured a 59-19 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Tooele since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
