Meanwhile, it may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Baker ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They secured a 64-59 W over Mary G. Montgomery. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Baker got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Desmond Williams out in front who scored 13 points along with six assists and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Derrick Florence lll, who scored 17 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Bryant's defeat was their tenth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Baker, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 20-7 record this season.
