Prairie View is 0-3 against the Red Wolves since December of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Prairie View Thunderhawks will be playing at home against the Loveland Red Wolves at 7:00 p.m. Hopefully Prairie View focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Tuesday.
Last Tuesday, Prairie View strolled past the Bulldogs with points to spare, taking the game 40-26. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Prairie View.
Prairie View's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Paige Walker, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 15 rebounds. Walker hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for five straight games. Celicia Robles was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Loveland's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 56-16 loss at the hands of Erie. Loveland was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-4.
Despite the loss, Loveland got a solid performance out of Autumn Rinehart, who scored six points along with eight rebounds.
Prairie View's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-8. As for Loveland, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season.
