Section 6 AA recap November 5, 2013
Frontier was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from fourth to second in Section 6 AA. Earlier in the week, the Falcons triumphed over Orchard Park 17-7.
Jamestown added to the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Kenmore West, 69-14. The victory was the ninth in a row for the team.
Jamestown's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Jacob Sisson threw for 404 and 5 touchdowns and Zach Panebianco had 177 yards receiving. On the ground Zacc Kinsey contributed 118 yards. Stephen Carlson helped Jamestown's passing attack out by catching 4 balls for 125 yards.
Sisson put up the best numbers through the air as Tom Langworthy's team topped the Blue Devils. Sisson's favorite target this week was Panebianco, who caught 8 passes for 177 yards.
The Red Raiders' Sisson and Carlson led the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-0 quarterback Sisson has thrown for 2,469 yards this season, while Carlson has 45 catches for 840 yards. Frontier's Cameron Coon leads the league in rushing yards with 903.
The top two teams in Section 6 AA will face off this week when first place Jamestown takes on second place Frontier. Jamestown bested Kenmore West last week, while Timothy Myslinski's team defeated the Quakers.
The Falcons' Coon is a mere 97 yards away from breaking the 1,000-rushing-yards mark for the season. In 114 carries Coon has accumulated 903 yard this year.
Two of the top teams in the league will go toe-to-toe this week when Jamestown takes on Frontier. The Red Raiders' offense has scored 505 points this season, good for No. 1 in the league, while the Falcons have allowed only 86 on the year.
One of the league's premier quarterbacks will go head-to-head with its top pass rusher when Jamestown and Frontier face off next week.
There should be lots of points scored when the Falcons and the Red Raiders face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, Frontier comes in having scored 231 this season, while Jamestown has scored 505. The Falcons scored 17 points last week as they bested Orchard Park.
The Red Raiders led the league in scoring this week by notching 69 points on Rich Harris' team. Sisson ran for 37 yards during the win.
