Vista PEAK Prep lost to Faith Christian 59-18 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Englewood led 3A Metro - East in scoring this week after putting up 31 points on Arvada. Isiah Mestas threw for 121 yards and 2 touchdowns and ran for 36 yards during the win.
Skyview's dynamic duo of Brandon Barringer and Adolpho Pacheco proved tough for Thornton to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Barringer threw for 447 yards and Pacheco had 172 yards receiving. Joe Herrera helped Skyview's passing attack out by catching 9 balls for 147 yards.
The Wolverines' dynamic duo of Barringer and Pacheco proved to be unstoppable against the Trojans, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.
Barringer put up the best numbers in passing as Skyview fell to Thornton.
Nick Bersagel was the most successful running back in the league this week. In 20 carries, he ran for 158 yards as the Pirates fell to Mike Marquez's team. Teammate Gary Pearson added to the ground attack by rushing for 77 yards.
Pacheco was the best wideout in the league this week as the Wolverines lost to the Trojans.
He was 33-60 with 6 interceptions.
Skyview's Barringer and Herrera have formed a dream team this season, leading 3A Metro - East in both passing and receiving yards. Barringer has thrown for 781 yards this season, while Herrera has 14 catches for 279 yards. Fort Morgan's Jared Bohm leads the league in rushing yards with 265.
Englewood made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 12,120 from 12,537. The improvement was the result of 31-18 victory over the Bulldogs last week.
