4A Southeastern recap Nov. 7, 2012
Scotland extended the longest winning streak in 4A Southeastern this week by beating East Chapel Hill, 40-5. The victory was the ninth in a row for the team.
Scotland took down the Wildcats 40-5 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Richard Bailey's team's Jaylend Ratliffe and Tra'Shawn Gregory have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Ratliffe has thrown for 1186 yards this season, while Gregory, a 6-foot-3 receiver, has 30 catches for 507 yards. Daniel Robinson from Lumberton leads the league in rushing with 1071 yards.
Hoke County's Detrez Newsome is a mere 82 yards away from breaking the 1,000-rushing-yards mark for the season. Newsome has rushed for 918 yards on 77 carries so far this year.
The Fighting Scots led the league in scoring this week after putting up 40 points on East Chapel Hill.
