The Windham Bombers were the 37-30 winner over the Maplewood Rockets when they last played one another back in January of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Windham fell 57-46 to Maplewood on Thursday. Windham has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Maplewood found their leader in underclassman Morgan Himes, who scored 18 points along with six assists and five rebounds. The contest was Himes' ninth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lauran Krieg, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds.
Windham bumped their record down to 4-4 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Maplewood, their victory bumped their record up to 6-4.
Windham is on the road again on Monday and play against Harding at 7:00 p.m. on January 8th. Hopefully Harding focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 42 on Thursday. As for Maplewood, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Mathews at 5:30 p.m. on January 8th. Mathews is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
