The El Dorado Wildcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their 13th straight loss. They took a 65-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of Buhler. El Dorado has struggled against the Crusaders recently, as their match on Friday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
When it comes to explaining why El Dorado lost, one person who can't be blamed is Logan Garner. Despite the final result, he scored 27 points. That was a full 48.2% of El Dorado's points, marking the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Sam Greene was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with six rebounds.
El Dorado's loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-13. That rough patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.4 points per game. As for Buhler, their win ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-11.
Coincidentally, El Dorado and the Crusaders will both be playing the Vikings the next time they take the court. Buhler will head out to face Winfield on Monday, while El Dorado will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
