The Gibson County Pioneers entered their tilt with the Westview Chargers with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. Gibson County walked away with a 49-37 victory over the Chargers on Tuesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Gibson County also won the last time the pair played back in January.
Despite the loss, Westview still got an impressive performance from Mccall Sims, who scored 20 points.
Gibson County pushed their record up to 22-1 with that win, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Westview, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Gibson County will take on the Hornets at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. South Gibson is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak. As for Westview, they will be playing at home against the Golden Tide at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Peabody focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten last Tuesday.
