The Lee Generals lost against the Gate City Blue Devils on January 5th, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Lee received a tough blow as they fell 61-47 to the Blue Devils.
Lee's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kinley Huff, who scored 16 points. Taylor Bishop was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
Even though they lost, Lee were working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Lee has not been sharp recently as the team's lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season. As for Gate City, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 5-8 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lee will take on the Bears at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Union is no doubt hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. As for Gate City, they will play host again and welcome the Wolfpack, where tip off is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
