It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Lubbock Christian had no problem doing just that on Friday. They put the hurt on the Holy Cross Knights with a sharp 48-27 win. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won eight matchups by 21 points or more so far this season.

Despite the loss, Holy Cross still got an impressive performance from Rocky Orozco, who threw for 330 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 12.7 yards per attempt.

Lubbock Christian pushed their record up to 10-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 48.3 points over those games. As for Holy Cross, their loss dropped their record down to 4-8.

Coming up, Lubbock Christian will challenge Geneva at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Lubbock Christian will need to watch out since Geneva has now posted at least 31 points in their last three contests. Holy Cross does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
