The Raines Vikings are taking a road trip to square off against the Riverside Generals at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Raines has given up an average of 17 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
Raines came up short against Stanton on Thursday, falling 21-12.
Erica kilpatrick made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and fired off two home runs, three runs, and three RBI while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of JAZZMAN HARRIS, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-5.
KilpatricK wasn't the only one working in the home run department: Raines lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've posted since back in April of 2024.
Meanwhile, Riverside came into Tuesday's contest having lost 20 straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They put the hurt on ED White with a sharp 22-7 victory on Tuesday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Generals considering their two-run performance the game before.
Riverside let M Talton and Zoey Washington run wild. Talton scored three runs and stole Eight bases. while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances, while Washington scored four runs and stole Six bases. while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Washington also scored four runs, marking her first of the season. C Emanuel was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing Three bases. while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.

Riverside's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Raines has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 10 hits per game. It's a different story for Riverside, though, as they've been averaging 9.8 hits. Given Raines' sizable advantage in that area, Riverside will need to find a way to close that gap.
Raines took their victory against Riverside in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 17-4. Will Raines repeat their success, or does Riverside have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
