The Norcross Blue Devils will be playing at home against Denmark at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Norcross' favor is that they have now posted big point totals in their last five matches.
Norcross pushed their score all the way to 41 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 51-41 to North Gwinnett. Despite running the score up even higher than they did two weeks ago (35), Norcross still had to take the loss.
Arrington (aj) Watkins put forth a good effort for the losing side as he rushed for 280 yards and three touchdowns on only 14 carries, and also picked up 121 receiving yards and a touchdown. Watkins really tore up the turf during one magnificent 86-yard run. Dillon Mohammed was another key contributor, throwing for 122 yards and two touchdowns.
Denmark never got on the board in their matchup two weeks ago, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Forsyth Central last Thursday. They breezed by the Bulldogs at home to the tune of 35-7.
North Gwinnett's win bumped their season record to 7-3 while Norcross' defeat dropped theirs to 8-2.
