The Lamar Silver Fox will venture away from home to square off against the Dillon Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
On Friday, Lamar made easy work of Great Falls and carried off a 22-1 victory.
Ansley Brantley was a major factor no matter where she played. She struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Brantley was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with four runs, two stolen bases, and two RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, Lamar got a massive performance out of Jordyn Scarbrough, who went a perfect 5-for-5 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. Those five hits gave Scarbrough a new career-high. Kynley Brantley was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI.
Lamar kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 20 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Dillon). Everything went their way against Marlboro County on Monday as they made off with a 17-2 win. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.
Jayla Wright made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 12 batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits (and only one walk). Wright was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.
Dillon picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 8-10. As for Lamar, their record is now 13-8.
Dillon's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Lamar has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .517. It's a different story for Dillon, though, as they've only averaged .361. Will they be able to contain Lamar's hitters?
Lamar suffered a grim 6-0 defeat to Dillon when the teams last played back in March of 2021. Can the Silver Fox avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
