After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Holy Family, the Silver Creek Raptors were happy to have found some success on Monday. They put the hurt on Northglenn with a sharp 54-28 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Silver Creek also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.
Leading Silver Creek to victory were Avery White and Izzy Spagnoletti. White dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds, while Spagnoletti almost dropped a double-double on 16 points and nine rebounds. Another player making a difference was Bri Hickman, who scored nine points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Silver Creek pushed their record up to 7-9 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.3 points per game. As for Northglenn, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-11.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Silver Creek will take on the Warriors at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Centaurus focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 27 last Saturday. As for Northglenn, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against the Trojans at 6:00 p.m. on January 30th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Colorado (Thornton is ranked 250th, while the Norsemen are ranked 234th).
