The Vine Christian Academy Kings were the 100-72 winner over the Hope Academy Trojan Tigers when they last played one another back in January of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Vine Christian Academy took a hard 70-55 fall against Hope Academy on Tuesday. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Dwayne Foreman III was his usual excellent self, scoring 36 points for Hope Academy. That makes it three consecutive games in which Foreman III has scored at least a third of Hope Academy's points. Nathaniel Boyer was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Vine Christian Academy has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-10 record this season. As for Hope Academy, they pushed their record up to 22-10 with that victory, which was their third straight at home.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Vine Christian Academy's road trip will continue as they head out to face The Rock at 5:30 p.m. on February 8th. The Rock will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Vine Christian Academy surely won't give up without a fight. As for Hope Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Nazaret Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
