The Cumberland Academy of Georgia Cyclones on the road again on Wednesday and play against the Howard Hawks at 2:00 p.m. on January 17th.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 72-19, which was the final score in Cumberland Academy of Georgia's tilt against Tapestry Charter back in December of 2023. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Cumberland Academy of Georgia has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Howard slipped by Tapestry Charter 41-40 on Thursday. The victory was just what Howard needed coming off of a 57-30 loss in their prior match.
Sam Schulman was his usual excellent self, scoring 23 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Michael Davis was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Cumberland Academy of Georgia's loss was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 0-6. As for Howard, the win got them back to even at 4-4.
Cumberland Academy of Georgia might still be hurting after the 63-37 defeat they got from Howard when the teams last played back in November of 2023. Can Cumberland Academy of Georgia avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
