The Ponca Indians had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 14-7 victory over West Holt on Friday. The victory was just what Ponca needed coming off of a 26-0 loss in their prior contest.
Ponca can attribute much of their success to Trystan Bevelhymer, who rushed for 94 yards and a touchdown on only 12 carries.
Ponca's win bumped their record up to 4-5. As for West Holt, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 2-7.
Ponca will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Malcolm at 7:35 p.m. on December 12th. West Holt does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
