Rye and Tappan Zee squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Rye had to settle for second. They took a 44-32 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tappan Zee Dutchmen. The Garnets' loss signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Rye's defeat dropped their record down to 17-7. As for Tappan Zee, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 20-3.

Rye does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Tappan Zee, they will face off against Baldwin at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Baldwin will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Tappan Zee surely won't give up without a fight.
