The Lake Travis Cavaliers extended their postseason success on Friday against the Brennan Bears. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Bears 34-7 on the road. Lake Travis' victory was all the more impressive since Brennan was averaging only 16.23 points allowed on the season.
Nico Hamilton was on fire: he rushed for 221 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.2 yards per carry. Hamilton has been hot recently, having posted 100 or more rushing yards the last three times he's played. Chaston Ditta also helped with two touchdowns in total.
The win was the fifth in a row for Lake Travis, bringing their record for this year to 11-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 44.6 points per game. As for Brennan, their loss dropped their record down to 10-3.
Lake Travis will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Westlake at 2:00 p.m. on December 2nd. Westlake is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Brennan does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
