It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but the Conway Tigers ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They snuck past Socastee with a 42-37 victory. That's two games straight that Conway has won by exactly five points.
Among those leading the charge was Devin Grainger, who scored 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Trevon Johnson, who scored eight points.
The win makes it two in a row for Conway and bumps their season record up to 13-12. As for Socastee, their loss dropped their record down to 12-9.
Conway will be playing at home against the Gamecocks at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Socastee, they will head out on the road to take on the Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Carolina Forest has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since January 2.
