The Arrowhead Christian Academy Eagles came tearing into Tuesday's contest with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 30.2 points) and they left with even more momentum. They claimed a resounding 69-22 victory over BASIS - Prescott at home. Arrowhead Christian Academy has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matches by 21 points or more this season.
Arrowhead Christian Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Asa Shaw out in front who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds and six steals. Shaw is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last six games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Cristian DeLaCruz, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds.
Arrowhead Christian Academy pushed their record up to 7-2 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.5 points per game. As for BASIS - Prescott, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-8.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Arrowhead Christian Academy will stay at home for another game and welcome Tri-City Christian Academy at 7:30 a.m. on January 19th. Tri-City Christian Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past six matches -- so hopefully Arrowhead Christian Academy likes a good challenge. As for BASIS - Prescott, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Orme at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
