Meanwhile, Jeanerette dodged a bullet last Friday, finishing off Sci Academy 22-21. The tight race was right in line with the MaxPreps state rankings' forecast.
Jeanerette's victory lifted them to 1-0 while Westgate's loss dropped them down to 0-1. We'll see if Jeanerette's success rolls on or if Westgate are able to steal their positive momentum.
