The Northampton Yellowjackets lost to the Nandua Warriors back in February, but the Northampton Yellowjackets didn't allow the Nandua Warriors the same satisfaction on Wednesday. Northampton came out on top against Nandua by a score of 65-54. The win made it back-to-back wins for Northampton.
Northampton's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ronyell Coston led the charge by scoring 20 points along with eight rebounds and six assists. That makes it ten consecutive games in which Coston has scored at least 25% of Northampton's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaylen Anderson, who scored 16 points along with four steals.
Northampton pushed their record up to 7-3 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 77.8 points per game. As for Nandua, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.
Northampton will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Lancaster at 7:00 p.m. on January 4, 2024. Nandua's road trip will continue as they head out to face Brunswick at 6:00 p.m. on December 28th.
